Last week I flew to San Diego for a work event. It was a fun trip, despite the fact that I was fighting a bad cold the entire time. Whenever I am in Southern California, I have the feeling of "life doesn't get better than this!" I stepped out of the airport into 74 degree weather with no humidity. It was glorious. I really miss SoCal weather. Someday, I hope Dan and I can enjoy it again.
I came down with a cold on Wednesday, the day before I flew to San Diego. Thankfully it's not the worst cold I've ever had, but it wasn't fun to work all weekend while being stuffed up and having a sore throat. On the plus side, I was well taken care of! Because I had organized an expensive event at the hotel, the staff there were exceptionally nice to me, bringing me a pot of hot water, lemon and honey every 2-3 hours during my stay, even throughout the night. It was very nice.
I flew home last night and enjoyed the evening at home with Dan. We ordered in Indian food (a rare treat as we just discovered the only nearby Indian restaurant) and caught up on two of our favorite TV shows.
Baby Lauren has been moving and kicking a lot in the past 24 hours. I will take another baby bump photo this week as my tummy continues to grow!
